Licensed master electricians serving Hurst's established neighborhoods with honest repairs, panel upgrades, and code-compliant electrical work since 2009
Your Local Hurst Electrician for Homes Built in the 1960s-1970s
As a Mid-Cities electrical contractor, we know Hurst homes inside and out. With a median home age of 1974, many properties in Hurst still have their original electrical systems—and that's where we come in. Whether you're in Hurst Hills, Wells Park, or near Northeast Mall, our licensed electricians specialize in updating vintage electrical systems without the upsell.
We understand the unique challenges Hurst homeowners face: aluminum wiring from the 1960s-70s, undersized 100-amp panels, missing GFCI protection, and outdated Federal Pacific breakers. Most electrical issues in Hurst's established neighborhoods don't require complete rewiring—just honest diagnosis and targeted repairs.
Serving Hurst families, young professionals, and the 40,000+ residents who call this Mid-Cities community home. We're just 13 miles from DFW Airport and ready to help with all your residential electrical needs.
Common Electrical Issues in Hurst Homes
Living in a home built during Hurst's rapid growth period (1960s-1970s)? You're not alone—and you're likely dealing with one or more of these issues:
- Aluminum wiring that expands and contracts, causing loose connections
- 100-amp panels struggling to power modern appliances and electronics
- Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels with known safety issues
- Missing GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor outlets
- Insufficient outlets for today's tech-heavy households
- Outdated two-prong outlets without proper grounding
The good news? We fix these issues every day in Hurst neighborhoods, and most don't require the expensive whole-home rewiring that other companies try to sell.

We're a local, family-owned electrical company serving Hurst and the Mid-Cities region. As a father-son team of Texas Master Electricians with over 65 years of combined experience, we've worked in hundreds of Hurst homes—from the well-established neighborhoods near Tarrant County College to newer developments along Precinct Line Road.
We started Epic Electrical in 2009 because we saw too many Hurst homeowners getting scared into expensive electrical system overhauls they didn't need. A home built in 1974 doesn't automatically require $15,000 worth of rewiring—it usually just needs updated connections, a new panel, and proper GFCI protection.

Why Hurst Residents Choose Us
Most electrical companies either push expensive complete rewiring jobs or send technicians who aren't qualified to properly diagnose vintage electrical systems. We're different. We understand how homes from the 1960s and 1970s were built, what problems are common, and how to fix them cost-effectively.
We've heard the stories: "Another electrician told me I needed to rewire my entire house for $20,000." Then we come in, find a few loose aluminum wire connections and a bad breaker, fix it for a fraction of the cost, and everything works perfectly. That's the Epic Electrical difference—honest electrical work for Hurst families.
Our Promise to Hurst Homeowners
When we're done, your electrical system works as it should. Breakers stop tripping. Outlets are properly grounded. GFCI protection is installed where needed. Your home passes inspection. No surprises, no upselling—just honest electrical repairs and upgrades for your Hurst home.

EXCELLENT Based on 108 reviews Posted on tyler kreisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Epic Electrical, I have used the on multiple projects.Posted on Jim MorganTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I encountered multiple issues with GFCI outlets, which Epic Electrical diagnosed. One problem was caused by an indoor extension cord that kept tripping the GFCI. Another GFCI tripped because the supplementary hot water heating system had burned out, so I left the breaker off. Additionally, a third GFCI tripped due to a faulty pool light. Since we weren’t using the pool light, we decided to turn the switch off. I initially anticipated that the bill would be several hundred dollars, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there would be no charge, as the technicians only found electrical issues that were easy to fix. I would highly recommend EPIC Electrical for their honesty, prompt appointment times, and exceptional courtesy. UPDATE 9-29-25: I texted Griffin on September 3rd asking for two quotes which was for about $6000 worth of work. Unfortunately we can no longer recommend Epic due to poor communication and lack of responses. I've been asking since September 19th when he can schedule the job. I finally spoke to him today, 10 days later (9-29-25) and said he's been busy but could schedule it for next week, over 2 weeks later. They seem to be too busy for more work, $6000 worth... We own a Residential Property Mgt. Company and EPIC was recommended to us and We ARE SO THANKFUL for them. They have taken care of many issues since we started working with them and I can whole heartedly tell you to call them; you will be very pleased!Posted on Rene AlanisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
